New To North Hills

Welcome to the North Hills Church of Christ

Welcome to our church and to our  website. In a lot of ways, this website - which we want to be fresh and relevant to the people in our area and attractive to those in search of a new church home - marks a new era in the life of the North Hills Family. We are excited about reaching out to the world and excited about bringing God's message to those who do not know him. And we are excited about meeting you!

Hopefully the following will answer your basic questions about the North Hills Church. Please join us to meet our family, to fellowship, and to worship God in a personal way.

1.  When are your services & how do I get there?

Service times & directions can be found on our Times and Directions page.

2. What kind of Church are you?

We are an independent, nondenominational congregation, centered on Jesus Christ that strives to practice principles and teachings found in the Bible.

At the North Hills Church of Christ, we believe church is:
  • more than a building
  • more than a place
  • more than something we do on Sundays

We believe the church is people whose lives have been transformed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

3. What should I expect when I visit?

It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time so we want to help make your experience a good one.  When you arrive at North Hills you will find us to be a friendly, welcoming church.  If you need any assistance our members will help you in any way we can.

Our worship time is dedicated to exalting and honoring our God.  There will be an equipped nursery available should you have need of such.

The entire congregation will sing songs together.  The songs will be in a songbook in front of you and also displayed on the projection screen at the front of the auditorium.  You are invited to sing along or just listen until you become familiar with the songs.

At some point during the service we will share the Lord’s Supper together as God’s children.  As believers it is a time of thanksgiving and remembrance for the sacrifice Jesus gave us on the cross.  We will eat a piece of bread that symbolizes his body and we will drink a small cup of grape juice that represents his precious blood that covers our sins.

As recipients of the riches of God’s grace, we are honored to give an offering back to our God, so that His work can be continued.  As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give.  This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives.

Every week you will hear a relevant, straightforward, Bible-centered message that will last 25-30 minutes that is designed to be helpful in your everyday life.  We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.

It is our desire for each person to leave our time of worship strengthened and encouraged in your daily walk toward Jesus.

4. What are your basic doctrines or beliefs?

At North Hills, we ground our core beliefs in Jesus and in his message which is found in Scripture. Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture, not merely in opinion or religious tradition.
