Our Family

“For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free–and we were all given the one Spirit to drink “  1 Corinthians 12:13

The family at North Hills is just that -a family, but not just any family, we are God’s family!  We have a tremendous love for our Father in heaven, for each other, and for those around us. You will not find a perfect family here, because like every family, we have our struggles, difficulties, and flaws.

Though we are imperfect, we trust in a perfect Redeemer, and that makes all the difference in the world. For we know that this world is not our home, and that as God’s children, there is a place waiting for us – a house not made with hands, where one day all of God’s family will be gathered together.  Until then, we will stand together as families do, and we help each other on our journey to eternity.

God’s purpose for the Church is two-fold: the work “in” the Church and the work “of” the Church.

Our Mission

REACHING…GROWING…PLANTING

Our mission at the North Hills church is simply to be the hands, the feet, and the heart of Jesus.

We make it our aim to reach up to our God who is our All in all, so that we might become more like His Son; to reach out to a world who needs to know the Son, and to reach in to one another, so that one day we may all reign with the Son.

We Desire to:

Reach up to God

To always strive to recognize our dependence on God through worship, praise, and prayer.

Reach out to the World

– Seek and save the lost (Lk. 19:10),

– Serve others (Mk. 10:45), and

– Share (proclaim) the good news (Mk. 1:38).

Thus, we exist not for ourselves, but for God and others. We must have an outward focus.

Reach into the Body

We meet each other at the foot of the cross, and there we find community with God and one another, creating: “A community of believers that truly reflect the spirit of Christ, growing in faith and spiritual maturity.” ( Eph. 2:14-22; Cor. 5:18-20 )
