Why Lifegroups
“It is not good for man to be alone.” ~Genesis 2:18
“Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to them those he wanted, and they came to Him.” ~Mark 3:13
From the very beginning of the Bible God reveals how critically important community is to Him and to his creation. Genesis 2:18 expresses his concern that Man not be alone.
God in his primary nature is triune as Father, Son and Holy Spirit – each distinct, each unified and in perfect fellowship.
Jesus demonstrated this through his ministry as he selected twelve of his followers to become Apostles that would be his closest and most trusted friends. And the Apostles and early Christians carried this forward as they sought to continue Jesus’ ministry as demonstrated throughout the book of Acts.
Life Group Details
The Life Group ministry at North Hills has been created to help fulfill our need for community, encouragement and compassion from other Christians. Each week our Life Groups meet to share food, fellowship and God’s Word in order that we might “build each other up” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
Groups vary in size, location and make up as some groups are multi-generational and some tend to be structured for those in specific stages of life. All are devoted to fulfill our central need for community and are soundly rooted in the teachings of the Bible.
